Progress...

So...as you see I finally figured out a little bit (all on my own!) of how to make some improvements to my blog! At least they are improvements to me. :-) My background and header remind me of my ideal wedding...I like the soft, old-timey feel of it. Check out my Pinterest and you'll see the types of dresses and things I have pinned for if I ever have a "vow renewal" ceremony (we had a courthouse wedding and I would love to be able to wear a wedding dress and and say some vows that we actually mean).

Aside from that, there is (maybe and hopefully) some progress with Emily and school! She had gotten to the point where it was just a screaming/crying/flailing arms and legs while begging me to take her to the bathroom and spank her (because it meant I'd still be in there with her) fest every morning. So, I decided that I would follow through and try the drop off line. We've done it three mornings now and she still cries and screams that she doesn't want to go, but as soon as she was drug out of the backseat she walked with the teacher to the next teacher and allowed herself to be walked into the classroom. Yay! But wait...it gets better! Today, after she was taken out of the truck she actually walked ON HER OWN to the next teacher, then I guess inside all by herself! AND as she was leaving today she high fived one of the ladies that takes the kids out/puts the kids in to the cars as they come and go. This, my friends may not seem like a big deal to you, and I still cry as I drive away (I mean, she's crying and hanging onto the seat for dear life as they pull her out), but this is PROGRESS!

These may seem like two minor things to other people, but to me...they mean something! It means that I am on the road to really getting this blog thing going! It means that my baby girl is going to get the hang of this school thing! And you know what? It gave me something to blog about at 7:30 at night while my girls are in the bath tub and I await my hubby's return. :-)

Tell me what y'all think of the look of things around here. Any suggestions/ideas/additions are so totally welcome!

Hope everyone has a great night, and a SAFE and WONDERFUL long (yay!) weekend!

I think your blog looks very pretty! And I'm glad things are going so much better for your daughter. That had to be so incredibly difficult.
